Even a one hour delay couldn’t slow the Raider football team.
Kiel scored on all four its first half possessions and added a special teams score as well as the Raiders clinched a sixth consecutive playoff berth walloping Brillion, 35-0, Friday night ruining Brillion’s Homecoming Game. A pre-game thunderstorm caused game officials to halt the start of the game one hour.

Slade Pennings recovered a Lion fumble on the opening possession and Kiel quickly turned that into points as Mitch Mahler scored from three yards out. After a short Brillion punt, the Raiders needed just two plays to go up 14-0 when Clayton Lepisto scampered in from 21 yards out.
Then Kiel turned to its special teams.
Connor Voelker took a Lion punt and returned it to the house for a 56 yard TD Late in the first quarter.
Alex Kleinhans (12 yard run) and another Mahler TD run made it 35-0 at halftime and the entire second half was played under a running clock.
Kiel, sole leaders of the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, are now 4-0 in the EWC and 6-0 overall. They are ranked second in the state in Division 4 by wissports.net.
Brillion fell to 2-2 in the EWC and 4-2 overall.
Kiel celebrates Homecoming next Friday when Manitowoc Roncalli visits Fifrick Field.
