It was a quick night of wrestling as New Holstein had just five available grapplers.
Advantage Kiel.
The Raiders still won three of the four varsity matches contested and easily won an Eastern Wisconsin Conference dual match at Kiel High School Thursday night, 75-6.

The highlight match came at 145 pounds where the Raiders’ Jose Capetillo held on for a 14-11 win over Trevor Vogel in a match that was tight all of the way. It was 4-4 after one period and 10-8 Capetillo after two.
The lone NH win came at 285 pounds where Shaun Pernell scored a 1:35 fall over Jason Klauck. Cole Kienbaum (220) and Ezekiel Sippel (132) won on pins for Kiel, 1-2 in EWC duals.
“After a tough loss at Brillion, this was a nice rebound match for us,” said Kiel coach Davin Horneck.
“The best thing is that we won three of the four matches.”
Husky coach Josh Buechel remained upbeat saying, “We’re hurting for number right now, but things should get much better after the holidays.”
In a JV match, Max Ramminger of Kiel pinned New Holstein’s Nathan Boehnlein at 3:57 at 170 pounds.
