After a disappointing 2018 conference meet, the Eastern Wisconsin Conference boys track championship returns to Kiel High School.
Lee Watson’s Raiders rolled to the 2019 crown Monday evening at Sheboygan Falls scoring 179.5 points to finish well ahead of runner up Brillion.
Kiel swept all four relay events.

Max Ramminger, Noah Watson, Ryan Kleinhans and Ashton Arnold made up the 4x800 team clocked at 8:25.67; Hunter Scharenbroch, Matt Cieslewicz, Armond Wempner and Slade Pennings are the 4x100 team at 45.29 seconds; Scharenbroch, Cieslewicz, Evan Field and Pennings make up the champion 4x200 team at 1:33.66; and the 4x400 foursome of Ramminger, Eric Riebe, Arnold and Kleinhans won in 3:33.18.
Connor Voelker is the best EWC triple jumper at 40’4” and the shot put goes to the Raiders’ Jason Klauck at 45’6-1/2”.
Elio Alzate wins the high hurdles at 15.48 seconds with Field third. Those two go 1-2 in the intermediate hurdles with Alzate winning in 41.20 seconds and Field next at 43.26.
