With darkness falling earlier these days, we’ll be making our weekend drives to the cabin up north on Saturday mornings instead of Friday evenings.
Going the last part of the way in darkness is one thing, but when it’s dark before I can even get home from work, that means a very long drive in the dark. Last weekend, we were also aware that hundreds of deer hunters would likely be heading north on those same roads Friday evening, many of them pulling camping or utility trailers. The thought of joining that parade convinced us to stay home on Friday night and set out early Saturday morning instead.
