In recent years, I’ve noticed an increase in front yard art depicting human figures.
I’m not talking about wooden cutouts of bent-over chubby backsides in the garden, or blue cartoon characters parading across the lawn (Smurfs, anyone?). Thankfully, those trends are well behind us.
There have always been the miniature lantern-holding stable boys lighting the way to detached garages, and similar-sized fishing youngsters sitting on small bridges to nowhere in suburban front yards. They have been around for several decades, and they seem harmless enough.
