A new governor in Wisconsin means there is a new opportunity to provide some clarity for owners of barns and other outdoor venues which host weddings and/or other functions.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) last week sued Governor Tony Evers. It is nothing personal against the new governor—WILL just wants to force Evers’ hand and that of new Attorney General Josh Kaul to once again try to provide some clarity on whether or not such facilities need to have liquor licenses.
This issue has been discussed in the past in this space and is very much related to the preposterous belief which floated around for a while that even tailgate parties at sporting events would need licenses.
