A recognition ceremony held last Thursday at Chilton High School was a little bittersweet, but certainly more sweet than bitter.
The sweet part was that Chilton High School Principal Ty Breitlow received the surprise announcement at an all-school assembly that he had been named the Wisconsin Principal of the Year.
The bitter part—at least for the Chilton School District—is that Breitlow also recently announced that he is moving on and up to become the administrator of the Randolph School District. His career move does nothing to diminish the accomplishments he had during his seven years as principal of Chilton High School, not the least of which was the award he received last Thursday. Of all the principals in all the school districts in Wisconsin, Breitlow was named the best—and that is quite an accomplishment.
