To the editor:
For tens of millions of Americans, the Attorney General’s digest of the much anticipated Mueller Report was a relief while for probably an equal number of others it felt like having a rug pulled from under their feet.
Millions of others were probably wondering what all the fuss was about.
Although AG William Barr’s four-page summary of his take on 300-some pages of Mueller’s official report clearly pointed out that the 22-month investigation “did not exonerate” President Donald J. Trump from possible charges of obstruction of justice, Trump promptly proclaimed to the world that he had received a “complete and total exoneration” on everything the long investigation delved into.
