Wisconsinites are going to be hearing a lot more about marijuana in the months and years ahead.
Discussions about the drug and what government should do about it are nothing new, but they were on a back burner in Wisconsin during Scott Walker’s administration. Neither he nor the Republican Legislature had any interest in changing the status quo.
But there is a new governor in Madison, and last week Governor Tony Evers said he planned to include a proposal in his budget to decriminalize the use of marijuana and legalize it for medical purposes.
