Ledge View Nature Center quiets down in November as cave tours end.



It is the beginning of a two-month hiatus in school field trips—dozens of young voices will not fill the building again until January when snowshoeing starts at the park.
In the interval, staff stake up tubes to protect small trees from the rabbits, hang fragrant (stinky?) soap on larger trees to protect them from the deer, repair snowshoes, and prepare for upcoming workshops.
