The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Small Business Development Center will offer free one-on-one business counseling sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for new and existing Calumet County businesses and entrepreneurs. Counseling sessions last one to two hours, and free follow-up assistance is available for businesses as needed. Sessions are held monthly at the Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court St. in Chilton. An appointment is required for the individual, confidential sessions and can be made by contacting Mary Kohrell, community economic development director, at 849-1680 or via e-mail at mary.kohrell@calumetcounty.org.

Blood donations will be accepted at Maximillian’s in Mount Calvary from 11:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Persons who are healthy, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and are at least 17 years old (age 16 with parental consent) can give blood at the American Red Cross event. Walk-ins are welcome. As is tradition, donors will be treated to a light lunch compliments of local area contributors, businesses, and volunteers.

University of Wisconsin-Extension officials in Calumet and Manitowoc counties are offering a free educational meeting for farmers, agribusiness professionals, and agency staff interested in learning about the new Dairy Revenue Protection program. The meeting will be held at the Brillion Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon. There is no fee to attend the meeting. The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center will be hosting their third Breakfast at the Barn. Doors will open at 7:15 a.m. with the breakfast buffet starting at 7:30 a.m. A presentation from Dave Wilfert is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Dave Wilfert, co-owner and general manager of Wilfert Farms, LLC will be presenting “Wilfert Farms and its 142-year love affair with Manitowoc County.” The breakfast and presentation are included in the ticket price. Tickets are $10 for Farm Wisconsin members and $15 for nonmembers. Nonmembers may also add a tour of Farm Wisconsin for an additional $5. Tickets must be pre-purchased either online at https://farmwisconsin.org/tickets/, by calling Farm Wisconsin at (920) 726-6000 or purchasing at Farm Wisconsin’s front desk during business hours. Ticket deadline is Tuesday, March 19.
