Ryan Beck, a Boy Scout of New Holstein Boy Scout Pack 834, made a request in fall 2017 asking the New Holstein Police Department to update the dog kennels in the city for his Eagle

Scout Project. The dog kennels originally had been built in the 1980s. Ryan competed this project in spring 20l9 and was awarded his Eagle Scout award on July 28. Pictured are the old kennels, and above are Ryan with Police Chief Brian Reedy outside the new kennels. The Beck family said they would like to thank the New Holstein Police Department for giving Ryan the opportunity to do this for his Eagle Scout Project, as well as New Holstein Public Works for removal of the old concrete and site preparation for the new concrete, and Drexel Building Supply for donating all the materials for the dog houses. They also thanked the fellow scouts for helping out with the project.
