Staff and volunteers at Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs are preparing for the Second Annual Purple Porch Project, a regional event that encourages homeowners and businesses to change standard porch lights and/or outdoor lights to purple-colored lights for October, the month traditionally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

“The Purple Porch Project is an amazing opportunity for our communities to get involved and show their support of survivors of domestic violence, spread awareness and show that they care about the issue,” said Beth Schnorr, executive director of Harbor House.
