The Wisconsin North-Upper Michigan District First Quarter Conference was held Nov. 1-2 at Fox Hills in Mishicot. A zone meeting also was held recently.
The club confirmed the date of Saturday, May 23 for its annual Memorial Day weekend brat fry at Honeymoon Acres.
The club has been discussing the creation of a new playground at Optimist Park. A playground equipment contractor will be coming to the community to view the site and offer suggestions.
Husky Hangouts—an event the club has been doing for about 30 years—are being scheduled for the current school year. Husky Hangouts allow middle school youths an opportunity to “hang out” on a Friday at their school.
Youth Appreciation Week is held each November and the club is looking to honor a school group.
