The annual sign-up period to submit applications to add names to the Veterans Memorial at Chilton is continuing, advises Don Kampfer, who handles this aspect for the memorial.

The sign-up period ends March 1.
This is the first step in the process to add names to the memorial for 2019. It culminates when the names and related information for the veteran are sandblasted into the polished stones that line the walkway to this tribute to the men and women who have served their country in the military service. The sandblasting has always been completed sometime during May of each calendar year and that is appropriate so that they are in place by Memorial Day.

To have a name added to the memorial the plaque donor must complete an application form and submit the form and payment to the Chilton City Clerk’s office, 42 School St., Chilton, WI 53014. Forms are available at the city clerk’s office, the Calumet County Veterans Service officer’s office at the courthouse, or online. For the latter go to ChiltonVets.org. Scroll to the bottom to the blue strip and click on “Memorials.”
