Organizations take the lead
Annually, the Kiel Community Picnic is presented jointly by the Kiel Optimist Club and the Kiel Lions Club. The two organizations spearhead all planning and operational activities for the picnic. In addition, they rely on the generous support of volunteers to fill slots in the beer tents and food stands.
The two organizing clubs also make stand rental space available for other organizations to share their fundraising projects during the picnic, including stands like the pie stand, the cherry tree, the fish bowl and specialty food stands.
The Lions and Optimists are still in need of volunteers for various slots at this year’s picnic, including set up and tear down.
To volunteer please contact Al Schreiber at (920) 242-5155.
