Something changed in the 24 hours which passed from Monday morning to Tuesday morning this week—Wisconsin officially has a new governor.
Tony Evers was sworn in as the state’s 46th governor, saying a lot of the right things in his speech. Here’s hoping the Democratic governor and the Republican Legislature do a lot of the right things in the months and years ahead as all Wisconsinites have a stake in their performance.
What transpired in Madison on Monday probably did not make a ripple in the day of most Wisconsinites as they went about their normal business, but the interactions between the new governor and the Legislature will indeed impact everyone’s life going forward.
