Scouts from the Holyland area held their Blue and Gold Ceremony and Derby Car races at the Johnsburg school hall on Feb. 24.

The two Webelos who crossed over to the Boy Scouts were Garver Buechel and Henry Lewis. The Mount Calvary Post 454 American Legion members (who sponsor the Scouts) present were Commander Dick Marion, Pete Halbur, Paul Birschbach, and Tom Koenigs. Cubmaster for Pack 3778 Bill Will is on the left. Also present but not pictured were Paul Thome, Scoutmaster for Troop 778; his wife and committee member Darcy; and Joe Rappl, who is assistant scoutmaster and advancement coordinator for the Boy Scouts. The winner of the Derby Car races was Henry Lewis. Isaac Petrie came in second and Charlie Simon took third place. Eight of the now 11 Troop 778 Boy Scouts and 14 of the now 15 Pack 3778 Cub Scouts are pictured.
