City of New Holstein officials got a chance to see inside the expanded and renovated Metko Inc. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

At the same time, Metko officials had the opportunity to again thank those officials for working with them to make the first phase of what could be a three-phase project a success.
“They’ve been very helpful,” President/CEO Michael McCarthy said of city officials who created a Tax Increment Finance District in the Metko area in order to help the project happen. “I’ve worked with some of them for years.”
McCarthy toasted the city and Calumet County officials present, then helped provide tours of the expanded metal fabricating business which has done work for everything from the space station to Subway ovens.
