Chilton City Band’s Summer in the Park Concert Series continues this week with the Chilton City Band returning to the stage on Thursday, July 12 at Hobart Park by the fairgrounds in Chilton.

The band is rolling out some familiar polkas like “On Wisconsin,” “Hoop-Dee-Doo Polka,” “Too Fat Polka,” and “Beer Barrel Polka.” There are also medleys for children including “Beauty & The Beast,” “William Tell Overture,” and “Aladdin.” Toe tapping hits to be sung to include “Beatles Gold”; “Stand By Me”; “Mister Sandman”; “That’s The Way I Like It”; and “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.”
Rounding out the concert will be the standards “Let There Be Peace On Earth,” “The Syncopated Clock,” “Espana Waltz,” “Pachelbel’s Canon,” “Tubas on the Run,” and “Swan Lake.” The concert begins and ends with the patriotic numbers of The Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America, respectively.
The VFW opens their food stand at 5 p.m. and will sell throughout the concert. Music will begin at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, or stay in your vehicle and enjoy the music.
Next week will feature the group Nitro Five playing classic hits.
