It’s an unusual situation for coach Leah Cisler and the Chilton Tiger volleyball program. The reigning Eastern Wisconsin Conference champions are in the midst of a major rebuilding project this season. But this isn’t to say that Chilton won’t contend again. Cisler says her team welcomes the challenge.
The 2019 Tiger volleyball preview:

CHILTON TIGER VOLLEYBALL
Head Coach: Leah Cisler (6th season)
2018 Record: 34-7 overall; 7-0 conference (1st place) and conference tournament champions.
State Tournament History: Chilton has never qualified for the WIAA State Tournament.

Looking back at 2018:
Chilton successfully defended their Eastern Wisconsin Conference title with a senior dominated roster. Cisler has a 133-27 record in the past four seasons at Chilton. Alysha Brickl became the school’s all-time leader in assists and was voted conference Player of the Year. Jenna Chaussee was a unanimous choice First Team hitter. On the Second Team was libero player Reagan Brown and hitter Callie Woelfel. Amber Halbach was honorable mention at middle hitter. Brickl, Chaussee and Brown were seniors.

A look ahead at 2019:
Callie Woelfel heads the list of four returnees. Hope Meyer is back at right side hitter with Shayla Rees and Kayla Stenz back at middle hitters. Seniors Mariah Moehn, Alannah Hughes and Isabell Kopf are prime varsity prospects. Juniors include Cheyenne Belflower, Kelli Sullivan, Brian Nenahlo, Taylor Meyers and McKayla Mertz.
Chilton remains a contender for another EWC title, but the Tigers may not be the favorite. Sheboygan Falls returns two Second Team All-EWC players and may have a slight edge. Brillion, New Holstein and Valders are dark horses.
