The University of Wisconsin Division of Extension is hosting an Advanced Nutrient Management Technology and Application Field Day starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18 at the corner of CTH BB and Custer Road in Hilbert.


Hosted by Holsum Dairies, producers, manure applicators, and agency staff will learn about the latest precision manure application technology, explore manure sidedress plots, and see new equipment technology demonstrations.

The field day will feature demonstrations and discussions from John Deere and Vanderloop Equipment of their nutrient sensing and automatic application shutoff technology, Right Way Application’s manure dragline diversion technology, and InDepth Agronomy’s Mobile Hazard Maps, among others. Presentations on manure nutrient availability, sidedressing standing corn with manure, and precision technology will round out the event.
