It was a disappointing end to the 2016 season for the Chilton golf team and the 2017 Tigers are on a mission. Kelly Moehn, the Tiger assistant a year ago, takes over for the retired Wayne Brandt as Chilton takes aim at ending Sheboygan Falls’ five-year term as Eastern Wisconsin Conference champion.
The Chilton golf preview:

CHILTON GOLF
Head Coach- Kelly Moehn

2016 RECORD- 5th in overall EWC Standings; 5th at WIAA Division 2 Winnebago Lutheran Regional; No state qualifiers.

2016 REVIEW: A late season slump took Chilton out of the running as a conference contender but Alex Brandt and Coulton Brickl each qualified for sectional competition. Brandt was First Team All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference and Brickl was Second Team. No other Tiger golfer earned all-conference points. Dylan Bruckner and Tyler Piepenburg were the lone seniors among the normal varsity five.

2017 PREVIEW: The return of Brandt and Brickl, along with lettermen Nathan Schmitz make Chilton a prime threat to ending Sheboygan Falls’ reign. Newcomers Josh Meyer and Cameron Owens join 2016 JV players Jax Pritchard and Calvin Casper as other varsity prospects. Also vying for spots are Steve Duplechain, Matt Moehn and Markus Suttner.
Sheboygan Falls has been hit hard by graduation and may be very susceptible to falling over their perch. Chilton, Manitowoc Roncalli and a veteran Kiel team are among the threats to the Falcons.
