Ronald J. Rother, 61, of Brillion, died peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1956, in Milwaukee, son of the late Elmer and Arline (Mueller) Rother.

He married Jannine Kriofske on Aug. 20, 1988.

Ron served in the U.S. Navy and then worked for H.G. Weber in Kiel for 28 years. He loved to cook and garden and was really well known for his homemade salsa. He was a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers and loved attending games with his buddy Dennis Eickert.

Ron was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers local 1260, the Becker Bloedorn Jensen American Legion Post #126 of Brillion and Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion.

Survivors include his wife Jannine; his children, Astarte Clark of Madison, Justin Rother of Milwaukee, Tiffany (Wes) Cox of Brillion; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Dakota, Trevor and Maverick; his siblings, Sandy (Ron) Laughlin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sue (Mark) Mertes of Denver, Colorado, Elmer (Lesa) Rother of Waupaca, Barb (Mike) Klug of Racine; Godson Cody Vinney of Manitowoc; special aunt Marilyn McKenzie of Milwaukee; special friend Val; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law Marcia.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 West Ryan St., in Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of mass.
