Kathleen “Katie” M. Pankratz Weber, 82, of Mount Calvary, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
The former Katie Meyer was born in Manitowoc on Jan. 3, 1935, to the late August J. and Anna M. (Meyer) Meyer.
She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School in Clarks Mills and graduated from Valders High School in 1953.
Katie worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 30+ years.
She was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. Katie played the organ for 20+ years for many weddings, funerals, and other engagements.
She loved her family dearly; especially her great-grandchildren and grandchildren. Katie was a very generous and giving person. God was first and foremost in her life.
Survivors include her four children, Therese (Scott) Randall of Glenbeulah, Patricia Strong of Fond du Lac, Thomas (Lisa) Pankratz of Mount Calvary, and Denise (Don) Palkovich of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister Elaine Rystiken of Manitowoc. Katie is further survived by her long time companion Jerry Pickart of Mount Calvary; her in-laws, Ginny Meyer of Valders, Sr. Elaine Weber of Milwaukee, June (Ralph) Birschbach, Verna Weber, and Rita Weber, all of Mount Calvary and Mike Michels of Woodhull. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, August and Anna Meyer; a daughter Susan Rupp; a great-grandchild Sebastian Brunet; two brothers, Robert Meyer and August Meyer; and three sisters, Delores Piquette, Mary Lou Falvey, and Judy Glaeser.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Katie will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. CTH W, Mount Calvary. The Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarks Mills. Family and friends may call at the church in Mount Calvary on Friday, April 7, from 3 until 4:30 p.m.
