Grace L. King, 95, of Crandon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1921, in Crandon to John and May (McCauley) Agin.
On Nov. 9, 1940, she married Elmer King in Crandon.
Grace worked for the Crandon School District as a cook for 30+ years. Grace, in her later years, worked for the Forest County Department on Aging.
Grace is survived by her daughter Pauline Rasmussen; two granddaughters, Donna (Brian) Gau and Diana (Dave) Ambrosius; a great-grandson Brad Ambrosius; special niece Denver (Jim) Kalkofen. In addition she is survived by Jill (David) Zuydhoek, David (Jody) Kalkofen, Tera (Tim) Richmond, Tyler and Jenna Zuydhoek, Kollin and Kolton Kalkofen, Madeline and Drew Richmond. She is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. In addition to her parents, John and May Agin, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer; her son-in-law Tom Rasmussen Jr., her sisters, Leone Bailey, Lydia Rodgers, and Edith Bradle; 13 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Grace will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 501 N. Park Ave., Crandon, WI 54520. The Rev. Neil Varmum will officiate. Family and friends may greet the family at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
Grace will fondly be remembered for her story telling, love of family and animals, adventures, and robust laughter.
