Elaine H. Roeh, 90, died on Friday, March 17, 2017, at Atrium Post Acute Care of New Holstein.

Elaine was born on April 22, 1926, daughter of the late Theodore and Mildred (Petrasek) Orchekowsky in Manitowoc.

She was a graduate of New Holstein High School with the class of 1944.

On Sept. 27, 1947, she married Harold Roeh at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1988.

Elaine was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Kiel enjoying her Sunday Nighters at Church, as well as a Den Mother for the Kiel Cub Scouts.

Together with Harry she enjoyed taking road trips, always trying out new restaurants. Elaine was a poster child for the Easter Seals as she was diagnosed with Polio at the age of 9 months. She looked forward to her many card clubs that she was active with; playing Sheepshead and Cribbage were her card games of choice. Her true pride and joy was her family, always being there for them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Georgianne) Roeh of Cleveland, Gary (Lola) Roeh of Kiel, Betty (Tom) Wasmer of Colorado, Don (Patti) Roeh of Oklahoma, and Gordon Roeh of Two Rivers; nine grandchildren, Robb (Tricia) Roeh, Angela (Jeff) Hartmann, Amanda (Jeremy) Hendricks, Chad Roeh (Melissa Pharis), Shannan (Mike McFarland) Roeh, Casey (Jason) Bastemeyer, Kelly Harvey (Cody Leisy), Emily (Andy) Van de Hei and Brian (Kimberly) Roeh; 14 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Brixton Roeh, Felicity Hendricks, Taylor (Missy) Rezachek, Samantha Harvey, Weston Leisy, Brittany and Ben Bastemeyer, Katie and Harvey Van de Hei and Reagan, McKinley, Quincy, and Grant Roeh. She is further survived by numerous step-grandchildren; her brothers, Jim and Jerry (Faye) Orchekowsky; one sister-in-law Mabel Phillippi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Donald, Ken (Doris) and Erv Orchekowsky; sister-in-law Mary Jean Orchekowsky; and brother-in-law Martin Phillippi.

Funeral Service for Elaine will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Cheryl Lepak with burial at New Holstein City Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial will be established in Elaine's memory.
