Rick’s Piggly Wiggly and the City of Kiel Police Department are teaming up to offer a kids fun day and bike rodeo.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children and adults can bring their bikes to the Kiel Piggly Wiggly parking lot where many events will be taking place.

The Kiel Police Department will be offering an obstacle course for riders to learn the rules of the road and bike safety with help from the Kiel Optimist Club. All participants in this event will receive a free bike helmet donated by Orv’s Pizza, the Kiel Lions Club, Fromm Accounting, Riesterer Financial, and Rick’s Piggly Wiggly (while supplies last).
There also will be a chance for Kiel residents to register their bikes. The registration fee will be paid for by Rick’s Piggly Wiggly.
Rick’s Piggly Wiggly will be offering free breakfast for children 12 and under from 9 a.m. to noon with samplings throughout the store, goodie bags and free root beer floats. Kids also can register in the store for bike giveaways donated by Orv’s Pizza, the Kiel Lions Club, Riesterer Financial, and Fromm Accounting, and many other prizes.
Questions regarding the event can be directed to Rick’s Piggly Wiggly, 894-2445.
